Seed: Small Engines for Economic Development

Project Overview

The Small Engines GSSE team is comprised of four entrepreneurs who believe in enterprise-based solutions for developing economies.  Our start-up focuses on developing and dispersing micro-engine technologies for irrigation, generating electricity and other applications for farmers and low-income families.   Our team has been studying the market for small engines in agriculture with International Development Enterprises in India, Bangladesh and Ethiopia. We formed in October 2007 as part of an innovative masters program in sustainable business and international development, the Global Social and Sustainable Enterprise program at Colorado State University.
